Multicultural Resource Centre (MRC)

The Multicultural Resource Centre (MRC) helps to bridge the gap between Calgary's ethno-cultural groups and mainstream organizations through information, referrals, and training.

Newsletter "Culture Corner" and News Bulletin

Our bi-monthly newsletter, Culture Corner, highlights issues relating to cultural diversity in Calgary and Alberta, and educates about different cultural traditions.

Our semi-monthly News Bulletin informs about upcoming (multi)cultural events in Calgary, and training opportunities and services for Calgary's diverse population.

Capacity Building Workshops

We offer workshops for ethno-cultural groups and other interested organizations and individuals on organizational management and community capacity building.

The workshops include topics such as Stategic Planning, Grant Proposal Writing, Facilitation, Volunteer Management, and Board Development.

Click here for information on upcoming workshops.

Community Referrals

We refer newcomers to local organizations which provide services such as resettlement and translation programs.

Through our database of Calgary's cultural communities we can connect people to arrange for guest speakers or performers.
